Leech of Spirit drains too much mana

Post by Pyetrek » Sun Aug 05, 2012 10:43 pm

Server Rev #: 0

World Location Coordinates, Macrozone, Microzone: N/A

Character Information (race, class, level): Erikie Fury 72

Bug Summary: Leach Spirit (fury mana drain) claims under damage to only drain 198-165 mana. However when draining a mob, it will drain enough mana to fully replenish my mana pool (over a 1k difference).

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Deplete mana pool
2. Drain a monster with leech spirit

Additional Information: Awaken the fury i have heard is acting in a similar manner. It will fully replenish mana with one cast. This could possibly extend to other classes too that have similar powers, though I have not tested.

I had noticed this and was going to make a bug report, but i saw this one. I then decided to go test and confirm this report, but the bug seems to no longer be happening. Was this bug worked on?

I have not noticed this with any Warlock powers.

Needs of the one seemed to be working normally the few times i trained /tested it. But it's an AOE spell so refilling the entire mana pool wouldn't be hard on an over populated mob camp

I also suspect this is caused by LoS forcing synchronization of server/client mana rather than the spell draining too much server side. Has anyone observed otherwise?*

Two more possible ways to get server and client mana into an unsynced state:

Flight: viewtopic.php?f=69&t=7304
Casting Storms from a sitting position: viewtopic.php?f=69&t=7303

* To check, use ./printstats before and after casting Leech of Spirit. Ignore the mana level reported by the client. If the change between the two printed mana levels is greater than it should be then there is a separate bug.

confirmed this is just a sync of server/client side mana. Did test flying and not flying. Dont think there is an issue here other than client/server side syncing.

"Heyzeuss"I love playing under CN tags, no drama or at least none that I can understand. Makes playing the game much more enjoyable.
