Skah!

Someone else make up a less retarded creation / stat layout. I'm going to a bane right now :p Or I'll get back to it tonight.

Re: Dual-sword Wieldin' Ranger, Fighter Base Class

He's right that rogues are a little easier to play, largely because stealth helps you to pick your fights and Dodge is a more forgiving passive-defense than Parry is. But the fighter is way meatier and does more damage, so whatevs. Here's something entirely off-the-cuff. Someone else can criticize b...

Re: vamp con

I'm contemplating going with 140 con and 170 int, but wondering about the fortitude not working well, if at all. And on another note, does the damage absorber overwrite the 1st vamp fort ( I forget the name) ? Your health will be in the ballpark of 3k. Plenty low enough to mitigate hits from typica...

Re: vamp con

You don't necessarily have to go all-out on constitution. But you're correct in saying that you do not need spirit. Int and con all the way. You normally dont even need all that much spirit on non-vamp necros with EtV.

Re: Non-Dagger Thief

BM is definitely one of the stronger style-bane options. Has all the weapon powers you normally want. Rapiers look cooler, though. I never made one because two-hander backstabs make me cry. BW thieves are pretty fresh. A lot like BM except your backstabs actually hurt. And nobody wants to die to an ...

Re: Hints for build

Depends what you want it for. I'm going to assume you want to do solo and small scale pvp with it. Shade and vampire are favorite picks for soloing because they can heal. If you expect to have a healer along for the ride, you could go elf because archmage and bladeweaver are really strong. Aelfs are...

Shade > Aelf > Vampire > Neph > Elf = Human = Irekei > Aracoix.

My favorite thief was my shade defensive unarmed thief. Followed closely by my vampire rapier thief.

Re: Your most preferred proc toon

It's all about the shade unarmed thief. But when thieves get righteously nerfed into oblivion, I'd probably change that vote to a con/int human unarmed bard. Those things were crazy fun.

Also, can we just go ahead and make Undead Hunter a tier 4 proc and double it's duration? Please please please

I have absurd luck with procs, so UA has always been a weapon line I enjoy. Plus graces just look so cool.

I played an xbow support stalker during mine fights a few times back in temple charter though and that was a lot of fun, too.

The only scout I really enjoyed was my 35 con strigoi at the start of Saedron. I normally found scouts to be very boring, but that toon was always exciting to play.

Staff is entirely inferior in terms of weapon powers and damage. Although it's not so far behind that it can't win fights. Roll BM if you want the toon to be as viable as possible. Roll staff if you want to stroke your epeen after every victory.

I played one of my first melee priests in my duel with Daymar. I went with a sundancer build and had a lot of fun with it. Although it seemed that I only got SD powers and not UA powers, which doesn't seem right to me. If the wiki is right, I should've gotten level 5 UA powers. Either way, I think I...

Re: Pets or No pets

Pets are not worth it outside of novelty and their use as bashbots. Necros would, at the very least, need a way to control their swarm if we wanted pet necros to be a thing. Pets in general need a rework. Gorgoi gives you the ghoul forum. It can only be cast on others (no vampires, centaurs, or dwar...

Pretty much what has already been said. They are my favorite class and awesome gvg toons. The only class with an AoE expose to their own AoE nuke. An AoE snare, healing resist, regen debuff that is group friendly . Embrace the Void benefits everyone. Complete buff strip - frightening when there are ...

I stand by the aelf mage. I value shielding, spectral bonds, enfeeblement/weakening and mage stances more than light armor, block, heals, and summon. Basically what Moco and Rixie said. A minute of snare immunity is a lot different from a 2s cast dispel debuff. You aren't just changing the button, you're gaining another tool for kiting that just might save your life.
