Moderator Team Application

Post by glenclark » Thu Jan 22, 2015 5:39 pm

1. Please describe your Shadowbane game play history. How long did you play Shadowbane? Which servers did you play on?
I've played Shadowbane since I was 6 years old. I played on the server Thurin and Malog.
2. What is your age?
3. How much time will you be able to dedicate to the project? What times of the day are you on the forums?
Almost everyday, I am on almost all day on the forums.
4. Have you moderated any other communities in the past?
Not Really.
5. What makes you better-suited for a mod position than other applicants?
I think I would watch the game more than others and see what goes on.
6. Please describe how you would handle the following scenarios if you were a moderator:

a. A forum poster makes a thread in General Discussion to poke fun at a guild that recently lost a bane on Closed Beta.
I would give them a warning.
b. A player who was recently banned makes a post in the Closed Beta Arena saying he or she thinks the ban was not warranted.
Not Sure
c. A closed beta participant makes a post in General Discussion expressing that he doesn't feel the project is moving as quick as it could, going as far as to say that people are "wasting their time" posting on the boards.
I would tell them it takes time to get the project up and running to its fullest.
d. A new user posts pornography as their first post.
I would say that is inappropriate and tell one of the site Admin.
e. One of your guild mates has a signature that is larger than is allowed by the code of conduct.
I really dont know about that one.

Glen, your answers do not show a good understanding of our rules or a willingness to learn about them. As a moderator, you would be expected to enforce those rules, so its important to know what they are and have some interpretation of them.

I am sorry, but I am going to have to deny this application.
