I don't really like having precise on my wizard, in almost any case the triple debuff + dot in precise will go through and then the enemy isn't high def anymore. I may be wrong though. As a notice, if you're aiming for a solo wiz, I'd suggest maybe trying to take GTL to GM.

Solid build for GvG though.

Edit: BTW what motivated you to take mental resist ?

These days GTL is GM, and I took mental res along with swapping out a ring for a double mental res because at the time(on lore) there were lots of warlocks & mental procs

Mystic bolt does more damage/second than mage bolt (and it also converts stam as a bonus). Why does everyone like mage bolt?

i do not like mage bolt. There was a class that was removed. It was based around mage bolt and its focus line. It got canned because it was too weak.

that was an age ago though.

A) You aren't flying so the stam conversion is useless
B) Mystic Bolt is longer cast time & the odds of getting stunned out of mystic bolt are a lot higher.
C) fully buffed you can pull off 600-800 mage bolts consistantly where mystic can hit 1400+ but not as consistent as the high end mage bolt damage

Mage bolt because of sorcery focus skill. Same as sign of sorthoth, plus you can get more + sorcery than you can wizardry. Moco do you ever try to find points for 110% staff for the extra 10 int 20 sorcery warding? Not a terribly inefficient use of points IMO.

*edit although I'd probably go shade if i was going go that route.

Forgot to mention the same sorcery focus as well, thank you

As for the 110 staff it can work but with sun dancer you still pull off more ATR using a feather wand/dagger combo + you can also get more resists IF you are going the typical route. I have used the 110 staff on a shade though for city camping however I did not train the wizardry focus line/class stealth so the points weren't exactly a waste as it was built completely differently

If you are putting points in staff might be better to take the crimson circle staff for +20% power damage, really makes those DoTs sting!

Going to try this build out, I know it may be a bit outdated but any recommendations on an updated build? I haven't played in several years so most of the abbreviations are even above me.

Essentially the same build will still work quite well.


I made one with a similar build just took some points off of wizardry and took warding down a little and then raised daggers to 110% and put on proccing throwing spikes for lawls.

I have 140con/140int my dagger atr is 1090, and spell atr is similar to Mocco's build(slightly lower by about 50-70atr). My nukes in O stance hit for around 400-500ish and when the proccs go off they hit for 700-1200dmg.

Its just a flash toon and I will refine off the daggers I just wanted to give it a shot and see how it does in a pvp situation.
