Your most preferred proc toon

Post by Nehemia » Wed Apr 18, 2012 6:29 am

Lets hear them.

Personally, I prefer UA human NS, and I've got no clue why I don't see them more often, such a lovely toon to play with.

I prefer UA to dagger, just 'cause I can use the class weapons, more trains available that way.

I like them too, but I prefer having GM defcut/pb/stun rather than relying on blind. Vampire is also very tight on trains, but I go for the resist/dodge/hp build in this case. I use strogoi fort just against casters and 2x Morlochs UA vamp proc + vamp drain (+passive ignore) keeps me alive very well. I like assassin because it is the only class where I can have a great vampire proccer (access to GM poison proc) without a buffbot.

I've never played a proc build before. There's something about relying on chance to do my damage that's always bugged me.

Purity Council, Fallen Angels, Dark Carnival, Order of the Pink Pansies, Weapons of Mass Destruction, China Town, Probably a few others I forget...

Well, playing a proc build without a fight where you wouldn't proc would sound bugged to me. You will proc, most certainly. And even if you don't proc "enough to gib " the opponent, launching good damage procs to your enemy still increases your DPS quite a damn a lot. Just have a toon that can still kick in some DPS, as in ain't completely relying on those procs, and you're fine.

The reason I love to discuss proc toons, they can be made out of pretty much anything.

My fav proc toon is Irekei shadow dagger assy. Peerless of a different proc on each dagger with GM poison proc. An back in the day I had a Tdag Templar that procced for massive damage but he was an all around crappy toon.

My build should be on the sentinel page. You don't get throwing powers, but was a load of fun.

Elf BW sent was my most fun proc toon to play (before some major changes in the game) in small scale pvp!

Otherwise, I love playing high int/con resist/regen bow proc rogues. Wipes the floor with most def/dex monkey rogues! (Yes you heard that right - bow proc)

The Tdag scout version is almost as good (just helpless against fliers but they can't kill you either) and actually can out DPS the bow scout version. I played both a lot also. You are absolutely right about the dominance of the bow scout mine wen't undefeated for almost a year before shutdown against all pierce dmg rogues.

Another fun just for Skah! & giggles proc toon was a dual wielding elf Tdag necro.

This sounds like fun. They have plenty of debuffs to get around Def. With lots of ATR and High Dex they could get by just fine without throwing powers. Holy Procs FTW

I don't know about "lots of ATR" without having the Throwing skill. I could live without throwing powers, but I don't know if I'd make a thrower without access to Throwing.

Master spies and infiltrators, the Nephilim have spread throughout Aerynth in secret, and perhaps only the Dark Lords know precisely how many there are.
