Dwarf Priest

Post by Shammy » Mon Jan 02, 2012 6:47 pm

Another pretty standard build.

Starting runes~
Wizard apprentice
Brilliant Mind
Train by master of arm

35 con
40 int
Clanwarden
Commander (Important for Banes)
Forgemaster (You're a Dwarf, why not?)

170con
130 int
48 spr

Trains~
Benediction : 69%
Restoration : 90 trains
Theurgy : 97%
Toughness : 10 trains
MA : 100%
Block : end of 2:1 trains (130ish trains)
Hammer : I think it's 25% now? It's been so long ugh :/

Powers~
Tend the wounded 40 (Main heal)
Root : 40
Sanction : 40 (stun)
aoe stun : 1
Dispell debuff : 40 (key spell, learn to use this wisely)
Single target hot : 32
Group hot : 1-25 however you like to play.
% heal : Leftovers.
group % heal : 1
stam % : 8
Stam group : 1

harden armor 20
simerong song 20 (Dwarf only power damage chant)
grasp of thurin 1

Gear: 12int of the Gods scepter, Vorg healer helm and vorg healer gloves. That should give you enough mana regen to keep your mana up for fights with this build. I'd go with double slashing on the rest of the pieces, maybe slashing/crushing. The shield should be +3 passive defense of resist. If you're fighting meat feel free to run 12int of resist jewls. If you're fighting caster's always go with the resist prefix rather than the suffix because you get more obviously. I use double resists vs caster's... it's the only solution. You also might want to consider using the elite (vorg) healer shield when you're fighting meat (I believe it gives extra block). Also, when it's your group vs aoe casters you could consider refining some points and throwing them into toughness. More HP's never hurt.

No, you can jump by 10s because this build has 90 natural max int, not 85 (Wizzy's App + BM)

I would probably go with more SPI and less CON on this build.

Also, would GM the single target HoT and only put the group HoT at either 10 (melee) or 20 (casters) depending on whether you are running melee or casters as it scales terribly.

Gear is all about your playstyle and what you are fighting against so that's always very variable. I very rarely use a +12 stat on any of my gear except maybe CON on my scepter and like one piece of jewelry with +INT +%MR (obviously for MR).

Yeah i personally prefer spirit over the int build these days, there isn't really that big of a difference in the heals, but there is in the mana pool.

Personal preference.
