2/12/2012 Weekly Update

Developer Update
Rich has been busy sorting through and fixing bugs the last week. The most prominent fix being an exploit with group experience. He has also fixed the World Map so the runegates now show up. He has also done extensive work on the defense formula and a lot of work has also been done on mobs and NPCs. The database has been restructure to make it easier to update mob, building and NPC placements.

Papah has been able to add missing effect tokens, and fix various bugs such as item effects bugs. A huge problem throughout this Closed Beta process has been baked-in stats not applying server side. Since all Sea Dogs Rest, CC, and vorgrim gear bonuses are considered "baked-in stats," pretty much all armor has been useful for is resists. Papah has gotten baked in stats working correctly! This is much to the pleasure of the testers. Papah has also added command suggestions for debug commands that each specific testers has access to.

Test/Closed Beta Update
Closed Beta is finishing up Phase 2 and entering Phase 3 this weekend! This means increased levels, higher zones, and of course, higher level PvP. This also means that the Team is going to start looking through applications for the next group of testers. This group will be considerably larger than the first group of accepted applicants, so please bear with us as there are currently around 360 applications with the new batch of re-apps. This means every SBEmu Team member has to read about 360 applications, so this won't happen overnight.

The Recruitment Forum will close tonight 11:59PM PST, so make sure to get your completed applications in for Closed Beta today! There will be no exceptions for late applications, they will not be accepted.

Team Openings
We have decided to add 1-2 more Design Team members, and 2 more Test Team members to finish getting the game prepared. If you are interesting in joining the SBEmu team, and are easy to work with, have a considerable amount of time, and most importantly can effectively communicate, we need a few more people. For the Test Team, ability to log information, follow directions, and manage groups of testers are the more important character qualities we are looking for. As for the Design Team, knowledge of the worlds, mapsets, zones, architecture, as well as visionary creativity are the assets we are looking for. Time is important for both positions, we realize people have lives, and this is not a paying position but if you have the time to dedicate and the skill set necessary we could use your help!
