Summons not going through when taking damage-NAB

World Location Coordinates, Macrozone, Microzone: Anywhere outside of Safe Zone

Character Information (race, class, level): 75 Minotaur Warrior, 75 Aracoix Scout, 75 Dwarf Priest

Bug Summary: Summons while taking damage does not go through

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Have character A summon character B
2. Have character B accept summon from character A
3. Have character C attack character B
4. Have character B run for their lives
5. Have character C continue to attack character B
6. Watch character B not get summoned


Additional information: This did not take place during live

To be honest, I wish this was a feature and not a bug.

I never understood why they made it so Combat Stance breaks a summon but taking damage doesn't.

Unfortunately, the combat evac was part of the game. I'd rather people who are taking damage not be able to be summoned away, but in reality it would be a huge nuisance for support chars who can't fight back and whenever there's a summon chain going and some lone scout is popping bleeds on stragglers. That isn't how it's supposed to work. You should get a summon as long as you're out of combat stance.

It's not a bug, the summons does go through, it's just delayed if you've been in pvp combat (same timer as a vamp summons). I added it a while back to test how it worked.


It will get reverted at some point (probably before open beta). It's just one or two lines of code to revert it.

Makes sense, I noticed it only goes through once you die and respawn or if you've stopped taking damage.
