Stat Rune Creation Costs not recycled

If you apply a 25 with a creation cost of 9, and then try and apply on "of the Gods" with creation cost of 12, you should only require 3 points to apply the rune, not the full 12 points the game asks for at the moment.

i thought this was the case on live? i remember having to refine stat points in order to apply a higher level rune

But the net points will replace the old costs, correct? Godly still has a requirement of 12 points, but you will get the difference back from the previous rune. The new stat rune replaces the old one in the runes menu, so those points should not be lost for good.

This is always how it worked. In the days before Refiners you could actually gimp a character by not saving the points for the highest rune you planned to apply.

With cheap Refining you can simply refine out the points needed to apply the higher rune.
