A change was made recently that made this power roll to hit. Have you tried this on a low-defense target?

I only got it to work in precise stance. I was in OB,Guards,Southern Battle Grounds. If i was in d stance it says execute but does nothing. In precise stance it hits. Does not matter what level mob is or player

I can verify this. It seems quite buggy, when I use Sword of Saint Malorn it says I missed the target almost every time even if I am still hitting them with my sword successfully.

On live it was auto-hit roll not sure why it got changed. And thx for checking.

Yes, they have added an attr roll, and one that seems to almost never hit.

It was not like this at any time I played and I played for a long, long time.

Maybe it should have its atr based on thaumaturgy instead of sword skill, since its a templar only power

I talked to outkill in /tell - i have the same issue, that i posted in the other thread, i cant remember it ever(on live) missing as much as the past few days, not sure if it even missed at all, since i always play my temps in precise stance

Addressing whether the Templar sword DoT was auto hit on live, the other thread, which was locked, indicates that there is no evidence that the power was auto-hit. My recollection is that it was actually auto-hit. Whether it was designed to be is another matter.

It actually looks like both sides of this are right (maybe). Patch 3 added a hit roll, but only for part after the initial application:

Unless I'm misreading this language.

Regardless, the attr needs to be raised. It just never hits now. Base it on Thaum possibly instead of sword atr.

Of note, patch 24.3 did reduce the DoT duration to 30 seconds, I suspect primarily because this power was still auto-hit:

Incidentally, the wiki erroneously identifies this power as the Templar AoE "Saint Malorn's Wrath."

Perhaps just add a small attr boost to the power itself? Like in the old days. I miss style casting anyway. O.o
